Peery’s Egyptian Theater
If you fall into the “kick back and relax” category, consider checking out Peery’s Egyptian Theater in Ogden, Utah. This theater is decorated with Egyptian hieroglyphs and figurines to give it a quirky, interesting atmosphere. Visiting the theater could mean attending a play, a musical, a ballet, or some other musical performance. In August 2018, the theater offered showings of the 1927 classic singing in the rain, a showcase of Latin culture complete with mariachi music, and a celebration of Elvis Presley including showings of two of his feature films, an Elvis costume contest, and a talent show (expect a lot of renditions of “Can’t Help Falling In Love.”) If none of that sounds like your thing, just wait until September! The theater has slotted up a chamber orchestra concert. Peery’s Egyptian Theater is bound to have something that will appeal to you.
